Central Texas Barbecue

This film is not just about meat. It is a study of barbecue as a way of life, as a “path to salvation”.

I worked very closely on the score with director Matthew Salleh. We decided to predominantly use classical chamber-like ensembles, hinting on a connection to religious music from the Baroque. This prompted a heavy use of strings in the score, and to assist in this, we asked Associate Principal 2nd Violin of ASO, Lachlan Bramble to provide his expertise.
